.. hope that's not asking for much.. or tell you what.. make it a build that most of the users have, or whatever build you are working first (windows 64 bit I hope
just a thought..

Just give us whatever new you have about the MLT rendering that we are waiting for, ..yet again, keep the users entertained, give us some crappy temp build, showing off anything new so we can get more idea what we will be looking at..

) although 32 bit works on all.. give us a build dump of whatever MLT would be look like, just a few cubes rendering around a light, anything really, just so you keep the users entertained, and get us off your back with annoying questions like how long do we have to wait .. just give us a dump and get on with it, no pressure

Ahhh.. you want a beta version of a beta version...
I know that the next release will be great... take your time and don't spoil it with half-working / half-not-working inbetween releases. What are a few weeks waiting?

Posting preview version of test version of beta version would be really a bad idea. In the end it would just create more confusion, useless threads, questions and ultimately waste precious time of the developers... Take your time and do it cool.

Well, ok.. don't do it then.. it wasn't a demand, just an idea.. to release pre-beta, just to have a quick peek at what's coming.. ok, then just a screenshot will do nicely.. sorry for the botherpedrofelipe wrote:That was harsh!sathe wrote:acc24ex, you are cancer.
just an idea, anyway..
that's all since I'm still not using the lights in this build, in pathtracing seems almost useless because of the fireflies, but could probably do a directlight now, as I've seen people do pretty nice interiors with it, and it's still faster than cpu based directlighting

Just to keep acc24ex entertained, here is the plan:
We will release 'sometimes' next week a new Pre23. It is mostly concentrated on usability i.e.
1- emitters problems
2- resolution garbage
3- image save
4- bug that crashes octane when exporting with focal depth parameters
5- (possibly) a few correction related to macro saving with embedded images
6- Linux / Mac build (probably a few days after the win builds)
After that we'll concentrate on MLT (and other things) and hopefully will be ready to deliver something working properly in about 2 to 3 week time
/M

Well thanks for keeping me and others entertained
didn't think you guys would start flaming me..
I noticed you are under a lot of pressure to keep it up and I'd like to give my support, still I'm just getting more curios at what's going to happen next, like most of the people here do ..
I have to admit I am amazed at how the pre 2.3_2 actually works pretty stable on my (now pretty old) laptop with the 2x8700mobile GT cards, it wasn't working at all with the old betas, but with the new internet connection, I can use the registered version now, while I'm out somewhere with my laptop and a 3g mobile internet connection (although slow as hell compared to 480 gtx, must get that gpu-x box).
Still working pretty reliably now..
thx Nostromo.. hey how's Radiance doing and whats with the new octane team member Brecht was it, any news on what's going on behind the scenes
