weird camera issue

I bet I've inadvertently turned something off/on but I'm getting a weird issue with my camera in the C4D plugin. It was rendering with animation fine on earlier scenes and the camera animation shows up in the live viewer ok but come final render time my camera is static (on the first keyframe) throughout...

Anyone got any ideas what I may have done?

There is a single Octane cam in scene with a tag and it is selected in the object viewer (little white crosshair type thing)

Any help greatly appreciated...

Do you make rendering on Picture Viewer? Can you give more info about render settings and scene?

I'm rendering to picture viewer

using direct lighting GI_Diffuse

There is a camera move and moving objects (with tags)

And I have checked all the update boxes including 'full update scene' in 'basic properties' in the 'octane render' part of C4D render settings...

you're welcome. I'm trying to understand is it bug or not.
This is first report about that. Can you try your camera on other simple scene?
If problem is continuing can you send me a buggy scene?

I have reverted back to a previous scene and am trying it in that with the new geometry pasted in and re linked will let you know how it goes...

Odder and odder. So I started a render to the picture viewer and the same thing happened- static camera. so stopped the render and changed the cameras keyframe to produce a much faster motion so I could see within a couple of frames if there was any movememnt... and there was! I then pressed CTRL Z twice to get back to my origional camera animation keyframes and now it's rendering the origional move fine! (?)

I'm happy to send you the scene Aoktar but I can't post it as it's a commercial job. Is there somewhere I can wetransfer it to?

it's really weird. Checking your scene will be better. Maybe a wrong usage. You can post a PM for wetransfer link

Hi pokeit and aoktar,

what version of C4D are you using?
Did you play with the Demo (and maybe made the camera with this version) before purchasing full octane license?
I am asking, because I have seen some wired camera issues with the can scene from HandsomeRob, sometimes not updating the camera or the camera not working at all when adding another camera.
See my last post for the scene (edited in R14)...

Hi Chrisviz/Aoktar,

No mate, this scene was made since buying the beta version. Indeed it was made with the latest build you got me to download the other day.

I'm still getting intermittent errors. Sometimes only the first frame renders in the picture viewer. All frames are shown to be rendered then the rendering stops after completing the first frame. It doesn't crash just acts as if you have only asked for one frame. A restart seems to fix this.

Still getting the rendering the whole scene ignoring any camera keyframes sometimes but again a restart seems to sort and it is intermittent.

It's a little annoying but not the end of the world and it doesn't seem to happen everytime.

Another thing I've noticed is if you hit CTRL-Z a few times without pausing the live viewer you can often illicit a C4D pop crash.

Please don't take these as complaints at all- I literally love the renderer, hopefully these points help...
