Good day!
I have a few questions to create a powerful render stantion.
Pre-configuration contains 10GPU nvidia gtx titan gtx. (Or 20 gpu 670gtx)

question:
Allow as many gpu, octan render?
Is there a limit on the number of GPU?
Is there a limit on the amount of the GPU drivers from nvidia?
Will I get a linear acceleration rendering in multiples of GPU?
What methods of scaling expected to be introduced? Will the network rendering to multiple workstations?

hi, the speed increments you get when you add gpus is almost linear (e.g. rendering with four GTX Titans will be 4x faster than using only 1 GTX Titan). As for the drivers, this depends on the machine setup, of course they should make all the pieces work together. Octane requires a recent Nvidia driver for your platform, the cards for rendering should be cuda-enabled but can be a combination different models (e.g. 680+690+titan+780)...

I'm worried that Nvidia blocked or restricted, for marketing reasons, configurations with more than 8 GPU (at least on the consumer level cards). Unfortunately able to check I have not, I figured that since you are working closely with Nvidia you have this information. It can be specified?

Hey Gabriel,

Are the Tyans you're talking about setup on servers or expansion boards off of your pci slots? Could you send me a link to the exact model of Tyan you're talking about?

Thanks so much!
