Hello there!
I'm using MDD (with mdd reader) to have curtains animated by the wind in an interior animation. Curtains do look right in Layout but there slightly off in Octane (preview and renders) and appear just intersecting with the window when they're not in the layout.
Is there a problem with MDDs and Octane?

Thank you.

i use MDDs alot .. - in Octane editor - you must select FULL UPDATE - that way - MDDs are getting calculated by each frame .

But also be careful - when you scrub the timeline you may have nasty crashes .. if you need to scrub the timeline - close the IPR - scrub the frame and REOPEN the IPR again ..

Hope it helps..

I did already selected full update. It's strange, Lightwave Layout shows curtains in place and Octane shows them offseted.

Problem could be that you have more than one curtain object (LW clones of the main object) in the scene and plugin is instancing them. Please, go to the render target root node options and disable the instance LW clones option to see if this fix your problem.

Last plugin version should update objects with deformations without reload scene while scrub timeline.

I'm not at my computer at the moment but I'm sure this is the problem, I do have 3 copies of the curtain with 3 different MDDs. I'm going to try what you advise but I'm pretty sure you nailed It.
Thank you!

Yes, instances don't support individual deformations, all are rendered with the deformation of the first one.
