the removal of the numbering system doesn't bother me and they aren't going to change it. I didn't have any issues with setting up materials but it did take a bit longer. Not something they will care about.
But since I use a lot of V4 UV's i have seen a seam in the thighs for all the characters that use the V4 UV. I've asked in the V4 to Genesis2 thread at daz if that is a bug in the software or in the V4 to gen2 product.
I've not supposed to be working on art, but got a few renders in the last few days. one is incomplete, and another was just a test.
Not impressed with the skins released, but I have a lot of older skins that are still great so not too worried.

Seams are usually easily fixed when using 3Delight by lowering the "shading rate" to a low value like "0.1". Don't know about Octane though.
Usually it's because the texture artist didn't "spread" the texture very much outside the UVmap. You can fix it by using the stamp in Photoshop and covering more surface outside the UVmapped area.
I only had two days to work on my V6 Artwork ( including rendering at 3.5K resolution ) but with some SSS I found the result quite pleasing. BTW, I have to thank the Otoy team for replying to me so quickly. I had to render a HiRes image but was limited by my VRAM amount ( 1.2GB ). Thanks to the LensShift option, I was able to render tiles and composite them in Photoshop afterwards.
The "Clear Cornea" works really well with the new "Eye Reflection" material area. Just remember to have something bright or with contrast facing the eye to get a cool reflection.

Those are real nice images!! What would you use to produce reflections in the eye? I tried a point light but that didn't work.joelegecko wrote: Just remember to have something bright or with contrast facing the eye to get a cool reflection.

Thanks for sharing the info. However the texture seams only exist when on the V4 to G2 version, if the texture is applied to V4 or Genesis the seam does not appear. So it is not related to the texture persay, but the V4 to G2 release. MallenLane said that it would get updated, hopefully that will help.
