These are a couple of renders of an old castle Jankovic which is about to be renovated and made into a hotel. Among other things its purpose would be to accommodate weddings and to serve as a meeting place for hunters. This disneyland section really exists.

Boris,
These are brilliant! Where did you get those stunning trees? Aren't they heavy on texture count?

Nice scene. The presence of the deer is a bit weird, as well as the Disney style castle entry, but the scene is globally very good. I agre that the trees are great !
I like the old photo style a lot !

Tree is one from the Archmodels vol. 106. It is kind of heavy but I'm rendering on TITANs so I have 6 GB at my disposal. Thanks for the nice comments !

Interesting thing about this project is that the existing building was digitized using a laser device which gives a high resolution point cloud from which you can construct an accurate model.

its a beautiful render..I love the mood of the lighting and the texturing too..

Thanks for the tree reference Boris.BorisGoreta wrote:Tree is one from the Archmodels vol. 106. It is kind of heavy but I'm rendering on TITANs so I have 6 GB at my disposal. Thanks for the nice comments !
I am sure your Titan can handle the geometry, but I was actually referring to the texture count - would you have that stat for us?
I am coming up against GPU texture count limits for the first time with complex tree models.
Thanks,

Here are the stats for the scene:
Memory is low because I have 3 TITANs in SLI because otherwise OpenGL doesn't work (4 GPU limit). If I need more RAM I need to disable SLI prior to rendering.
I haven't come close to the texture limits. Usually trees that I use have two textures, one for bark and one for the leaf and I have 3 types of trees in this scene. You could combine several textures into one texture and save texture slots this way.
