Hi there Paul, when I load a Default V4, I see that the bump in the Diffuse channel needs to be inverted to enable pores on the skin to display correctly, noticeable on the lips as well, Im getting the hang of the modifying my OctaneDefaults.py to get all my settings the way I want them, where can I change this issue?

Nice work!

I too have noticed that a lot of the lower quality texturemap sets for V4 simple have the bump as a B&W version of the texturemap, and in this situation inverting the map can help. But for good quality maps (do they really exist?) it should be needed.

Hi there Paul. One issue I am sitting with is this.

a] I go into poser and load my basic V4 character.
b] I then open octane with the preview window and the bump settings I have changed in the OctaneDefaults.py is not as I set them to be
c] I then reimport the figure from poser and it is as I have set it to be.
d] I then load my diffuse glossy material where I have a material Mix setup, with a Diffuse and Glossy nodes each with a bump map.
e] I have enabled the invert of the bump maps when I saved the material, but invert is disabled when I load the material retaining existing image maps.
f] The above method works as a default now, but I cant seem to carry the "invert enabled" feature over as a default from my saved material.

Im pulling out my hair as we speak.

Not quite sure what you mean by "bump settings I have changed in the OctaneDefaults.py is not as I set them to be". Is it possible the V4 character you loaded had previously had the Octane materials saved to the Poser materials?

I've looked into this and the Invert pin is not being correctly "retained". I will post a fix in the next few hours.
