Dear OctaneTeam,

as i spend the most time with making visual effects (im a beginner yet ;) ) i whant to ask what the future of octane will bring to us vfx-artists.

Using octanes gpu-powered-renderengine for producing particlebased effects like gas(flimmer),fire, smoke, waterfoam - lighteffects like strokes or lightnings - Index-ID controled post-effects - and whatever vfx-artists could need - would be awesome.

Greets,
Dennis

There are other apps out there, now, for these types of things. They aren't talking about future plans and I appreciate that. Better they give us than promise and nothing materialize.

Many composting software are starting to use GPU acceleration. Nuke 7.0 and after effects both have some GPU acceleration. The there are the new programs like Clarisse iFX (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMu9JRX7Pps).
