Hi all,

This release fixes the subsurface scattering in diffuse materials.

Changes since 1.15
  • Diffuse transmissive materials with a medium inside are rendered correctly with alpha shadows enabled.
  • Fixed display error with long node names in the node graph editor.
  • Fixed addition of render devices while being paused.

I use the Poser Plugin. I have Standalone 1.10. Do I need to update to 1.16 for better renders? Thanks.

Hi, I see no reason for that, as anyway the background is only a template and is not intended to be rendered.

You can blur it in your editing software at compositing time if required.

Great ! I like the new behaviour of nodes names when copying/pasting. Much more logic.

There is an issue with Gradient Texture. Moving control points in gradient strip doesn't affect render.

Salut Roubal, je me permet de te répondre en français.

Pour de la production, d'image d'archi interieur, ext, impossible de rendre comme je le fais quand je teste deux images, http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=32691 soit une illum HDR pour l’arrière plan ( fenêtre) qui lui réagis avec le dof et une image avec le soleil/ciel.. une question de temps... Sur arion par exemple, tu choisi ton background indépendamment de ta source lumineuse, ( Jpg , Png, HDR etc) ou en mode sherical ou plane ( backplate) et ça fonctionne parfaitement.

Hélas Arion ne possède plus ( fryrender à l'époque) tout ce qui est Glare, Blur, Bloom) d'ou Octane.
Tout dépend de l'utilisation en effet, mais j'ai besoin de pouvoir rendre les arrières plans. Une fonction background qui ne sert a rien, tu ne la mets pas en prod.. enfin moi ce que j'en dis hein ;)

Octane étant un des meilleurs render que j'ai essayé (adopté) face à un vray rt2.0 , arion, et autres. manque une ou deux choses BASIC pour que se soit le top du top!
