thanks mantra. could you change some preferences, exit the program a few times to see if it is stable enough ?

Excellent. this should also fix the last backslashes in the last open files for all new opened files.
EDIT: Nevermind, I understand how it works now.

Ok, so now the backslash is not an issue, however I decided to test the portability from laptop to desktop, I was able to port my license (Octane allowed me to open the program on the desktop after unlinking from laptop)
Tried to load a scene file from ver 1.022 and it loaded fine yesterday and i was able to reopen the file in 1.022, after recent update the file can no longer be open in older version eventhough i did not save anything, but the bad part is it no longer functions in 23.
set camera environment to 1024x512
load scene using upper or lower open option
click on obj in graph editor
BANG! it crashes
Ok created a new scene from scratch that has a plane and a cube
upon attempt to load from previous version, it still fails.
Constructing a new scene by loading obj file, file loads, scroll out to view entire scene BANG crash.
Went back to test more, select zoom camera to original BANG
Select 4x4 sampler it didnt crash right away until i tried to zoom out

Me too. Last time I can pan some where in the scene. But today just only load and crash, load and crash and move model a bit and crash. Really hate open octane, load file and wait for crash warning.tomas_p wrote:Octane run now, only if I want make new material and working with the material the octane crash (at first after few minutes and now fter few clicks).
I can not work for whole noon. What's wrong really with this version.
Why so many crash with normal activities?
There's a nasty bug we need to crush. We'll release a more usable version soon.
