Update: had one crash when first trying to render the chess_set_procedural demo. After that it works, but the textures are odd (stretched on one axis).

For fun:

Working fine here. Only played with the standard demo scenes here so far though.

Also playing with ZBrush 4, so will try some more interesting things soon.

No problem registering (and through a fairly serious Cisco ASA firewall too). Was able to launch the app multiple times without problems.

Z.

I think XP-32 has the main problems for some reason and maybe XP-64 too.
I'm sure Refractive will sort it out.
I have been thinking of doing a dualboot with Win 7-64 anyway, so maybe I'll take the hint and move up now. ;)

Well I already got another 4gb of memory for it and set up a partition and started collecting drivers etc...its just a matter of getting Win7 - I ordered just now on line :)
I'm doing this for strategic reasons, not specially to get 2.3 beta to run :geek:
8gb will help me out with a few apps.
I was under the impression re Octane beta that Win7 users were at least able to render even if there ares some bugs and perhaps crashes whereas the rest of us cant even get to first base.

I'm getting pretty stable results with my Windows 7x64 machine. Some crashes when applying materials, but I can render and save images.
