from the w.i.p. "libreria"
...the entire interior (desks, lamps, chairs comes from archive3d.net). Every shot is in AO mode from 5 to 30min., 5 light planes for illumination (3 at the windows and two at the bottom of the room).
I think that the overall aspect is good but quite lot far from being photoreal. Hope you like :D

Great images, specially the second one. The only thing that I doesn´t like is the view from the window in the last image. It should be very overexposed to make it more believable.

Thank you Paquito. You're totally right, the exterior exposure is not coherent with the interior ;)

Thank you Merid,
no secrets for the illuminations, as I told in the presentation there are 5 light planes (3 at the windows with more power and two in the bottom of the room with a lower power), no HDRI.
As for the settings ("camera6" and "camera7" are the same)
camera response: linear
exposure: 3,13
fstop: 2,8
ISO: 400
vignetting: 0
saturation: 0,75

...I cannot tell you more about "vista alta" e "vista tavolo" because they were made and balanced "on the fly" with the Octane viewport without setting the camera as for the others

here's one thing I noticed first off - the books look very much like pop culture books - let's say the shapes and sizes and colours of books do not seem as "serious" as the library - they resemble typical shelf books found in bookstores in shopping malls ..
I would expect more "serious looking" thick brown, bound in leather books, not that much colorful like a bunch of cook books - I know it's actually judging books by their cover (and size) - but that's just a first thought when looking at the render - you know, you need some bibles, encyclopedias, philosophers, famous dead writers :)
.. make them dark colours, dark red, brown, black, and thick

I'm 100% agree with you acc24ex (just few days ago I found some texture for creating some old book or encyclopedia), unfortunately the project was born as a sort of private (luxury) lecture room
http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=30102
during the progress this "lecture room" become not more just a "lecture room" but absolutely a library

Hope to can change the type of books in short time, for a good job I need almost 20 different books, and for now I have just the textures for 5/8 :?

Thanks for your opinion :D
