Turntable Animation System - suggested improvements

There is something with the turntable system that is weired.
I always have to start a render before I use it. Otherwise it renders only the same frame.
So I can only use it if the render process is already running.
The other thing are the settings. I would like if the window stores the last settings. Otherwise I have to retype everything.
Is it possible to fix these 2 things?
