Open commander window Window-Layout-Commander Window or just press shift-F12
Under Name Filter enter octane - assign a shortcut under shortcut form - all combinations apart from ctr-alt-O and shift-alt-O are taken so use that, maybe shift alt O since cinema uses shift R to send it to render window.
Or maybe use the shift-E (octanE?) to make it a single hand shortcut, no prob you can add another shortcut to the list, I just explored some quick options - and yes I am bored as hell obviously
So that's instead of using a fancy button anyway..
Just thought about how to do it, pretty simple, I guess cinema is the simplest package around, tried almost all demos of anything that was worth mentioning on the marker, and the only thing that stuck to me quickly was c4d
here's how to run octane plugin via shortcut
