Hi guys ! This is my first topic.
I'm currently testing over and over this amazing render (3ds max plugin) but I'm currently facing a problem.

My character is a monster, and I would like to apply emissives lights in parts of his body (with a map in black and white).

So I have a diffuse material with a blackbody Emission into the emision chanel.
In this blackbody Emission I have my texture map into the distribution channel.

Well it doesn't work because the texture is like applying from the camera and is not "stucked" into the mesh. And it does the same problem if I try the "texture emission".

I hope that it is clear enough for you guys !

Thanks in advance for helping me :)

Oh okay, I finally got it.
Very simple but it's new for me.

It works with a simple mix material.
Material 1 : a diffuse material with a blackbody emission light.
Material 2 : a diffuse material with the diffuse texture of my character
amount : into texture with the emission map (in black and white).

Thanks !

You should apply the texture map to the "efficiency or texture" slot of the emission. You don't need a mix material.

The "distribution" slot is for making directional lights like spot lights (you typically load the distribution from an IES file).
