Will a SSD speed up fluid simulation in Max?

Hi everyone,
I'll soon be working on an animation project that will require fluid simulation, using 3DSMax and Glu.
Do you think that buying a SSD will speed up the simulation, or would that be a waste of money?

I dont know about glu but for fumeFx it does speed up. Because the calculated simulation data files writen to disks.
