AFAIK no other lights besides the defaults are currently available in octane.
In upcoming version there will be material emitters.

Hi, as elias says, mesh emitters (aka area lights) will be supported in beta 2.3, the next version.
We will release an intermediate test version at the end of the week with support for them, amongst many other new things.
