Hello,

This is an issue that affects most users, while octane is rendering it uses all resources of the graphics card
and that makes the system sometimes almost completely unresponsive.

Please fix this! Make it use 95% of the system's card as an option. 5% should be enough to use the computer to work while rendering...

Best regards
Filipe

Yes, the next version will have a new option "render priority". It's still experimental though and may not work super-great though. It's some kind of a compromise. We will see. We are currently aiming for next week to release 1.12.

Cheers,
Marcus

Having only just got Octane and the LW plugin. How are we informed of new releases? By email? or does the programme pick it up automatically?

Good news marcus.
Will a background image option be part of 1.12?

Yes, but it will be only a background in the viewport. The saved image will not contain the background image as a layer or something. This is something for the future.

Marcus

Official releases are notified by email, but release candidates are just posted in the release candidate forum. I check the forums every day and hit "view new posts" on the top right to check for new releases, ect.
