I am currently using 197.75 driver.

Does someone know if I can update to 258 version, or is it better to wait till next version supporting cuda 3.1 is out ?
i7 950 / 12GB / XP64 / GTX 470 / Modo 501

I just try Octane with the 258.96 driver and it works without any problem under xp64.

if it works, good, if it does'nt 197.x for current versions is fine ;)
