In case of business failure...(2.3 and internet....)

So if 2.3 will require an internet connection, and if Octane is in danger of going bust, is there a contingency in place to ensure that 2.3 will still be usable if it does go bust? Or will we have paid for a product we can no longer use?

we've got enough savings to last us for a whole year selling no licenses at all, due to the discount we did.
2.3 will increase sales, so you should'nt worry about octane going bust.

I don´t want to be disrespectfull, but what is all your talk about: pirating is going to kill Octane in short time if you do not implement another way of licensing. Now you say you have enough reserves to last a year even when not selling any licenses. It is not my business at all but I am just wondering how this comes together.

This post is not meant as negative as it may sound. I am still and propably will stay a big fan of octane and told many friends in the business to take a look at it. I would like to integrate Octane in my everyday workflow for the next years and therefor would like to know if this is a good decission.

By the way, I am realy realy looking forward to 2.3

We have reserves, but they won't last forever if piracy continues like this.
I'm sure you can understand that not ?

I really think we should all stop discussing the whole 2.3 internet connection issue now,
i'm getting really bored with it, sorry.
It's distracting me, putting stress on me, so please just these posts until 2.3 is out and you know all the variables.

This is now the 7th or 8th new post, with just more 'what if' scenarios.
We know very well what we're doing and we're not going to ruin our business by upsetting customers.
The only mistake i made was to announce this to prematurely, and as such it got interpreted as DRM technology.
