Hello! I am now a licensed user, but I am unable to post a new topic in the licensed user area for some reason. MY QUESTION IS: Does someone know a good method for changing the Forest Pack Pro materials to Octane materials? My grass renders pure white, and I am unable to get it to recognize the octane materials.
Thanks!
Brian

Chris helped me with forum access. I still need help with the Forest Pack materials. My project is being held up until I find this solution.

It is not that hard. You can place your vegetation mesh in your scene (if you use the FPP free HQPlants you maybe have to unhide them) then snatch the material from the mesh and use the octane converter for the newly added material and tweak it further.
Pretty straight forward and done in 5min.

Thanks for the response. My main tool is REVIT, so please forgive my lack of understanding... I have attempted to resolve this for hours. By 'snatch' are you using the materials eyedropper tool? Then simply use the convert materials tool?

BKEicholtz did you manage to get the convertion to work with FPP? I can't get it to work even if I unhide the layer from FPP and "Eyedrop" the material then use Octane Converter with the materials... Could you please guide we with a step-bystep on the solution? I´m quite new to Octane and I am still Learning what all the do-and-dont.BKEicholtz wrote:Thanks for the response. I have once or twice manager to get the grass texture to work by rendering one scene in MentalRay then convert and then render in Octane. Its not consistent though.. using FPP 4.0.2 and Octane 1.2, Max 2014
