Are there any plans to add a moonlight setting to the daylight system?

At the moment we are prepping a scene that takes place during the night with strong moonlight. As we can't change the colour of the sun to fake the moon in Octane we are currently planning to make the change in post plus custom light setup but I wonder how far off Octane might be from implementing this?

However I suggest trying to change the White Balance to a Heavy Yellow Color and you might get some night-looking shots like this one I made last week:

The white balance hack is interesting - I will have to try that thanks :-)

I think eventually it would be great if they added some handy presets in the daylight system for Golden Hour, Moonlight etc as well.

Another thing to try is decreasing the power of the daylight, increase the turbidity, then play with the imagers gamma, saturation and exposure to get a more washed out image. Looking straight at the "sun" still won't look right but you might be able to get an ok atmosphere from tweaking these.

Quick test:

Thanks
Chris.
