It has various adjustments -
Further revisions to the html MAC version to get the dialog to do its 'populate' at the correct time.
CSS for MAC fonts improved, with dialog fonts etc adjusted to be more cross-platform friendly. MAC users particularly - please try dialogs and feedback - there should be no scroll bars in the dialog now - also check for the 'defaulting' of check-boxes issue

In addition to 'Geometry', Groups & Component-Instances the SKP's 'Images' are now exported. This should address reports of "things missing" when exporting - it seems that this was due to somethings being 'Images' [e.g. logos or a tree's leaves] - a special sub-set of a definition that holds a rectangular image - so now 'Images' will export successfully - note that their material and its texture will be called 'Image1', 'Image2' etc rather than an image-file's 'name' such as 'logo[.png]' - as this is the way Sketchup's API must export them.

All users should upgrade to this version.

Feedback please...

I suspect that there is still fine-tuning to do to the MAC version

Hey TIG,
the plugin UI seems fine now but the "default" thingie it's always the same (I made a brand new test file and never saved it after testing the Octane plugin). are those info stored into some .pls/config file so we have to delete it before staring a new session of tests?

cheers,
A

:) We're getting somewhere !
At least the dialog is working now without scrollbars etc !!

The dialog's defaults are set by a 'populate' command.
There are the defaults [most off, but camera on] set for any new SKP.
The settings [with any changes] are remembered in the SKP file's database [only the binary-path is kept in the Window's Registry or MAC's Plist...]
On a PC the current SKP's settings are 'populated' without problem.
The way that some versions of Windows and certain browser versions etc interacted with the dialog's sliders gave a rare PC js error message that was annoying as it stopped you, warned you and when you continued everything worked OK anyway! Tweaking when the 'populate' ran fixed this for the PC and it ten ran perfectly in all PC versions...

Unfortunately the PC adjustments broke how the Mac version worked. I separated the dialog's html code files for PC and MAC so I can have different coding for each and hopefully get the MAC version working as good as the PC's.

Clearly the current version still fails to set the 'defaults' or values properly on the MAC  I'll post another html version shortly - hopefully this might work for you...

Thanks for you feedback and support - I will get this sorted for you MAC users...

SurfingAlien [and other MAC users]

Please try downloading this, unzip the html file and replace the equivalent file in the ../Plugins/Octane/ folder...

It has yet another permutation of how a MAC gets to 'populate' the dialog with the previously used values [that it reads from the SKP's attributes] or it sets as defaults if it's a new SKP.

Please try it on a new SKP, open the exporter and change some values - like 'sun' and save the SKP, close and reopen, and see if the values are remembered...

Feedback please...

I am puzzled as to why the MAC version won't populate properly.

On the MAC I can either get the dialog with the un-updated values or the 'blank screen'.***

If you revert to the previous version and get the screen I assume you can get the values to change by unchecking them ? If so are they remembered when you use it again - I suspect not...

I'll have to have a loooooooooooong think............. I've almost exhausted the permutation of how the dialog starts and is then populated - most versions work on PC [and many fix the PC js glitch] but ***have ANY worked on the Mac ???

I confirm what Marty said: blank page again with the latest .html

I tried with the old one (aa): create new file, saved, open Octane plugin unchecked some defaults and tweaked some sliders, closed Octane plugin, saved file, closed SU. re-open SU, re-loaded file, called Octane plugin -> all values/sliders/checkboxes reset to default (so it doesn't seem to remember tuned values on save)

I'm afraid you'll have to borrow a Mac from some friend of yours to get the thing sorted easily...

cheers,
A
