Just another one of those millions of feature requests out there already:
A larger library of procedural texture primitives, like fabric weave bump maps. Just spent a lot of time building my own bump map for just that, but in order for it to work required a HUGE bitmap and the inability to map correctly around a freeform surface in a believable way. It's a tough problem because a texture weave is a uniform grid that has to wrap a freeform object, and simple projections like spherical, cubic and cylindrical don't work in tough areas.
