Hi all,
I am slightly new to Octane. I have been utilizing the Cinema 4D Exporter Plugin and when I render animation from C4D exporter after saving a shaded scene in Octane...it does not render from the desired render target node. How do you tell C4D or Octane to render from a specific node versus the default mesh node?

You can choose a different render target. You have to create an entry first, since the plugin doesn't know which render targets you have in the file, but then you can switch between render targets:N2Frame wrote:Well, I couldnt find a way so I just mimicked what I did on a few render targets on the mesh node. Would be convenient if the exporter provides the option to choose various render targets.
Great program by the way.
Cheers,

Marcus.
How do you get to this menu?
I've got a scene all ready to render, and i wanted to use ORC beta to test it out. But when i export to my octane file, it does not include the render target that is connected to my shot camera. How can i export out of C4d for ORC rendering? Do i need to go through octane standalone to prep the file? If so, how can i get my render target connected to my camera?
I'm at a loss.

Hi joshstudebaker,
you have resumed a very old post, and it refers to the old Export script, not the plugin:
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=23731
The Render target node is automatically created on export to .ocs or .orbx, you can always check the scene structure in LV menu Help/Show Octane node graph.
It's a good idea to firstly check in Standalone if everything is correct, before sending the entire scene to ORC.
