Elvissuperstar007 can you share your material setting ?

your "Glossy + Diffuse + emission" means Glossy material + "Diffuse material with an emission inside scatter node"?

I would like to try your MIX style :)

I did a tutorial for skin SSS - http://poserphysics.blogspot.com.au/201 ... hader.html - which might answer some of your questions. But in summary, it's a material mix with a glossy (for the glossy bit) and a diffuse (for the SSS bit).
