I've not had this problem, on my computer, with other programs. I am the only user and thus the "administrator." However, I'm getting the following message when trying to open the Demo program:

Octane Render Demo 1.022 x64 Setup

You must run this installer with administrative rights.

Ok. Well. I went back into the folder, and for some reason decided to right click the file, which gave me a choice to run as administrator (something I would have never thought of). It tried to open, but then told me I didn't have a CUDA capable device, even though I have a Nvidia Quadro 2700 M on my laptop, a listed CUDA card...

Ok. Just a note to others. I had downloaded the latest graphics driver that Dell listed for my laptop, but it wasn't the latest. I got the latest from the nVidia website.

Radiance can verify, but I think I remember somewhere here saying you want at least 64 cuda cores to run Octane, and the quadro 2700m only has 48. Can you list the driver version you are using as well and operating system and such. Just gives us a better idea of what we are dealing with in order to better help you out there.
System 1: EVGA gtx470 1280Mb and MSI gtx470 1280 in Cubix Xpander for Octane, AMD 945, 4Gb Ram
All systems are at stock speeds and settings.

I don't think so, I'm running fine with a 9400m (16cores) and a 9600GT (32cores). slowly but fine :D
