Hi,
Hope someone can advise me on the following...
I bought a system earlier in the year which has a budget psu (ezcool 650watt). This week I picked up a cheap gtx 470. I put this into the system, replacing the existing gtx 460 as I didn't think the exist psu could cope with both.
I'd like to have then both running but what PSU should I go for? Am I right in thinking my ezcool would struggle (only has 2 pci-e connectors anyway)?
I'd like to keep to under £100 if possible.
Many thanks
what PSU for multi card GPU rendering?

Based on Nvidia's website, a system with the 470 requires a min of 550W, the 460 by itself needs at least 160W, bringing you to 710W. So, I would assume your 650W PSU couldnt handle it. To be safe, you might want to look at getting a PSU with at least 800W. It's best to have more than you need, especially since there are spikes in power, ect. Having a good power supply will ensure that your cards last longer
