When you have a multitude of node, we do not see clearly or find it.

would it be possible to put more value, for example a color.

Thanks

I only don't understand why the node view uses horizontal nodes...
I bet everybody wastes a lot of time finding the right ports to plug stuff up as there are no names on the ports,
to see the name of the port you need to hover the mouse pointer over it....

If the nodes were vertical and thicker they could have the ports with names on them, just like in Softimage's ICE tree or Rendertree, it is just plain logic.

I dunno how you guys get a five meters long list of materials there, I would go insane if I would need to deal with so many material pins :D

Obviously the same materials get repeated (exported) several times for each car. I understand that those cars have different colors each, but the plastics, glass, tires, aluminum, interior... could all share the same materials, you just need to apply the same material slot in your modeling app.

+1 for left-to-right node work-flow, but unfortunately the shyt is already done... :|

A good way to diplay node should be horizontal for text and vertical for connector, I use Xpresso to create plugins for Cinema 4D and I think that naming input and output nodes is very usefull too but I don't know if it could make it more clear for octane.
