I've order a new pc (finally!!) :) :

Mother Board: Asus x58 i7 DDR3

Graphic card: Nvidia gtx480 1,5 Gb

Memory: 12 GB DDR3-1600

Processor: i7 930 2.8 Ghz 4.8GT

Power Unit: 850Watt

Os: win7 64

This pc is good for a fast render with Octane? Before i used a old notebook core duo with 9600m Gt

that looks very good. octane will work nicely on it.
however i recommend you get a motherboard with at least 2 PCI-E slots on it so you can add a 2nd card if needed in the future.

i would consider adding a cheaper GPU then, as your primary GPU for display.
something like a GTX465.

this will give you a smooth use of your PC while octane is cooking on the GTX480, the windows UI will be responsive,
and when you do need the speed, you can always use both to cook 1,7x as fast.
