Yes, please upload the obj+mtl file. This is most likely an export problem.
If you use the deep_channel_kernel in texture co-ordinates mode then you can see if the UV's are getting through ok.
The geometry should be shaded from black (0,0) with Green along one axis (0 through 1) and Red along the other, if the UV's are getting through.
What modeling program are you using?
