Hello everyone,
Unfortunatly i am unable to export my C4D model to Octane. The error message says:
...
"Mesh Load Error"
Could not load mesh
" The Path to the obj file"
...

"Automation Error"
Node 'filename' is no mesh node.

Can anyone help a rookie?

Thank you

You probably renamed an already exported OCS file. The problem is that the export plugins don't know how the mesh node in the OCS is named, but have to tell Octane during startup which mesh node should be rendered. -> The export plugins just define a mesh node name that is the same as the project name (OCS file name). If you rename the OCS file without renaming the mesh node, the whole thing falls apart.

Solution: Open the OCS file <project name>.ocs and rename the mesh node called <project name> (without the angular brackets of course). Save it, close Octane and then try to export + render from C4D again.

Cheers,
Marcus
