I just noticed that the polygon count in my scene had a great impact on the render speed and when i say great impact I get twice the number of Msamples/s with half the number of polygons, this is not true for all renderers so I would like to know if it will remain a rule for octane or if there is room for improvement in the future ?

Hi,
It depends on your scene, raytracers only calculate what they see and what indirect light sees, so adding triangles does not make the speed go up linear.
it completely depends on your scene.
