After importing an object (from Poser in this case), there is a single object with a lot of materials. It was recommended to create standalone material nodes and plug them in, instead, so that if I had to tweak the pose or something of the OBJ, I could just re-import it, and not have to go through every material again.

That is fine, but is there a way to "copy" a material from a OBJ to make it a standalone material node? I made a very limited scene, but there is still 50 material's, and to re-create every one, every setting, would be quite a task. ...and this is a small render.

Thanks!

(I am new to all this, so be kind. I am attempting a "test drive" after I heard the announcement of the Poser to Octane plugin)

Hi 3doutlaw,

Sorry, the demo is becoming more and more out of date and a new one is on the TODO list.
In the latest beta 3.01 (and for a few versions before that) you can right click on a material node - cut and paste to the node graph.
ie:

But this is not in the demo sorry.

Cheers
Chris.
