I have been having a curious problem with units and in trying to get at the heart of the problem, started looking at Preferences > OBJ Mesh Import > Scale, Obj File Unit. No matter what units I set it to, it does not affect the imported obj size at all. What is the purpose of this setting?

Connected with that, I frequently run into an issue where the imported mesh is deliberately not centered at the origin and when looking for the object it is so far out of focus, that it is impossible to find and center in the viewport. When combined with a mistake in unit size somewhere along the way, where the units is not really that important, it can take 20 minutes to find the object in the scene.

Is there any hope in version 1 for the ability to click the object in the Node Inspector, Graph Editor or Outliner and then right-click a new feature..."Center and Focus Object"?
