I'm using beta 2.58f
When I apply a glass material (specular with a reflection and transmission of 1) to a window of a building it stops the octane daylight shining through completely. The room is now black inside. If I lower the opacity of the glass material then the light streams back in - but obviously the glass window now disappears.
The transmission settings are at 1.0 and it seems to make no difference at all if I lower them to 0. From inside the room I can see out to the sky through the glass, but the material behaves like it's blocking all the light coming into the room.
transmission bug?

That is a limitation of octane itself.darkline wrote:I'm using beta 2.58f

You can try to use Glossy material with 1.0 specular, 0.0 roughness, and 0.1 opacity.
