I have a new system with 2 GTX 580s and a GT 610 which is meant for display. I have tried and searched but I can not find out how to choose my GT 610 as my primary display. It uses my 580.
Anyone know how to change it?

Well, from what I know you must hook up your monitor to the 610 graphics card and not to the 580s.
That way the 610 will be responsible for displaying the OS, programs, etc. and you can allocate the two 580s to do all the rendering from within Octane.
What is your PC-to-monitor connection set-up so far?
Hope that helps.

Well, the problem is that because of the motherboard layout, I have t have the 580s on top and the GT 610 on the bottom slot. The motherboard defaults to the top slot for display. I checked my BIOS and didnt find an option for default display. I was able to change it in windows, but then there is no display until I log in, so I have to physically swap the cable in the back.
Then it just stopped displaying on all the cards, I have no idea why, cause I didnt change anything. So, now I have only the GT 610 in the computer, trying to solve my problem.

Im gonna try seeing if there is a new BIOS and flash it, see if they added that option.

okay, I removed the 2 580s, then booted up with just the GT 610. Then put back in the 580s and booted up with the vga cable connected to the 610. Booted up perfectly, using the 610 as primary display. So, if anyone else has this problem, try that solution.

nevermind, I'm an idiot, just didnt plug the power into the 580s so they wernt on...

Now i just have the display on the 610. Screen is blank till you have to log into your windows account, then it switches to 610 as display, so not horrible.

Why don't you just swap the cards over?

you mean physically?
the motherboard layout and case layout makes this the only physical possibility.
And now, for some reason, it doesnt load into the 610, I can only use the top 580 as display.
Oh bother.
