Hi guys just wanted to know if there is a lot of difference in performance for these 2 cards when using octane?
I7 2600k | EVGA gtx 680 FTW 4gb | Win 7 x64 | 16gb RAM

Looking at those numbers I would expect the difference of about 15% or even less. Other thing that comes in my mind. Is Cooling design (from their marketing material looks almost the same, but it's wise to read some reviews where guys nail those down and look inside..

I'd probably take 670 - overall value is better and in multiGPU, because of lower frequencies, i believe it should spread less heat..(but some components in 680 might be higher quality.)

So it really depends weather You want highest 'value' (performance/$) or absolute best =) though remember the fact that we are not using those cards as they intended..-these are gaming cards and what is the best in games..

...might not be the best in GPU rendering. With so much stress on the cards slight overclock might lead to higher temperatures, less of stability and longevity..

These are the thoughts, but read some reviews before You choose..these might give You some ideas as they usually find some small things that might be important formyou personally..
