Hi
so I have a few questions:
1. Can I render an image out with alpha... meaning that in alpha, background is black and the objects white
2. Can I render passes? (reflection, shadow, diffuze,...)
3. Can I make matte object with only shadow visible in alpha and render?
A few questions

Hi,
1: yes, there is a trick for this, you attach a black diffuse material to all your objects and use a pure white environment.
there is a description of this technique somewhere (with screenshots of the nodesetup) somewhere in the gallery forums, but i forgot where, maybe search for it.
(it was a tent with chairs composited onto a photo)
2: No, octane is an unbiased path tracer and render passes don't really make much sense to it.
3: not yet.
