Hi all,

Sorry for the basic question but I have to ask. I use 3DS Max + Octane. If I create a simple cube in Max, export it and then import it in Octane how many ways are there to assign different colours to each of its sides in Octane.
I can think of assigning a different ID material to each of the cube's sides and then applying a Multi/Sub-Object material to the cube with different colours to each of the sides.

Is that the only way to do that?

Thanks for the help.

you just need to assign the right materials to the right polygons in your host modeling app,
then those will become materials in octane you can finetune.
