You need any help with nuking that spam mails?! I volunteer!

Topic says it all. There is way to much spam mail all over the place right now.. It feels like the whole forum is abandoned, and its not great to see :/

I volunteer to nuke some spamalot!

But I think the mods should leave the spam where it is, so it will annoy the shit out of users. After one year of volunteer free cleaning from users, it's time RS moves their asses and finally delivers the new spam-proof site. Now that big bucks are flowing in from Otoy, shouldn't be too difficult to employ some new coders - right??

A mod mutiny is in order and will ultimately prove to be beneficial. Else RS will keep relying on free labor for years to come.

Well, there is always long term and short term solutions... The Anti-spam filter doesnt seem to be working, and I dont know if they are currently working on moving over the forum to Otoy (I suppose they do), but I dont see this happen tomorrow. So Im sure I atleast can get rid of most of the spam for now...

Count me in, it's not a difficult thing to delete thread or two while reading news =) it's bit anoying when You get like a page of unuseful threads via active topics.

Give some priviliges for forum users & they probably clean up forum a bit for their own sake. It will be a beter place for all =)

OTOY is indeed working on a new web site that will eventually replace the forum. I don't know an estimated time of arrival though.

OK good. Without wishing to antagonise anyone there is an element of credibility to (re)establish here.
The community is hanging on (yet again) and looking now for Otoy to be effective owners, and sooner rather than later.
I'm sorry to say if they aren't going to step up to the plate within another month they can probably kiss their business potential goodbye. Too much has really already gone down over 2 years for people to be endlessly understanding....
As was said recently Refractive needs to come across as a properly run business and deliver on what they say they will.
That isn't a reflection on current employees though
