Ok, I'm pretty new to Octane and Sketchup... in fact to all 3d software.. When I export an .obj file from sketchup to Octane and apply a texture (in this example the custom GLASS texture from the online db) My surfaces are heavily faceted... How do I get a sphere to appear like a sphere.. like if I applied GLASS it would look like a crystal ball instead of a glass buckysphere... I've tried subdividing it like crazy in sketchup using aritsan's subdivide tool.. but I still get the little facets... Am I missing a step here? Is this something to fix in sketchup or in octane, or is something wrong with the exporter? Any help would be appreciated :)

Ok never mind, I think it was the particular texture that I was using that was causing the effect, the architectural glass made my sphere appear smooth... Sorry I guess I just need to mess around some more with the textures  ... Any body know any other sources for textures other than the LIVE DB?

Objects with 'smoothed edges' will render looking 'smooth'.
Objects with non-smooth edges [ordinary or hidden edges] will render as faceted planes...
