I made a cube in archicad 40cm side.Export as 3ds to blender and export obj file.
in octane I added a material node. The material ball is on a 4cm grid and I placed a floatimage with a
4cm grid on the material ball. When I connect the node to my cube I see that the material is applyied as if my cube is 4cm instead of 40cm.when I reload the obj file with the preference kilometers to meters or any other the result is the same  .How does this happen?

You need to uv map your object propperly.
image textures use your UV map and are not scaled if you change the size of your objects, they stay the same as they UV's dictate the positions.

if you want to have a texture propperly mapped onto your cube, uv map it in your host app, then export.
even then if you import with the wrong scale (which is never a good idea) the mapping will always be correct.

Hey but what when you click on the "/" sign on the slider, linear to exponential, then I think you can scale it like in the previous betas, I think that was working when I tried it.
The exponential setting changes the textures in like 100% increments or something, and the other one you can adjust in a 1% value, is this right?

afaik there's a bug that we're looking into with the scale slider on 2.2 RC2.
this work correct in 2.2 RC3.

Is it in the road-map to have standard texture mapping for those of us that have issue with creating good UVs ?
i.e. Cubic, Spherical, planar, Atlas etc...

yes, we'll add different mappings in the near future aswell.

I like the way materials are applyied in octane.During modeling I just give different materials in archicad and then I apply the ones I want in octane....The only thing that would be helpful is the rotation of the applied material...

If someone knows a good way from archicad to octane......?

use the forum search function, there have been a few users posting settings and workflows for archicad in the past months...
