working on a new car ..
65 gto this time ..
should be pushing on the modeling side .. but did need a break and did play a little bit in octane :-)

I have the same problem. I model for a bit and then have to export to octane and spend an hour playing with it :D

..and I know the tempting to render any progress in modeling :) before it was "finish model..then render"

you can try to add a metallic fleck with a turbulence, and a 'clamp' texture.
no uv maps needed, it's a 3d procedural.

with metalic flake now .. ( even if i would remove them later ..as i am not so sure thy did have them in the 60's )
