I had read earlier that the way the max plugin and the renderer communicate (especially for animations) will be improved in the later versions of the plugin: that the mesh will have to be exported only once rather than which each frame. That will dramatically increase the render times for animations as currently about half the time is spent exporting the model.
My question is: what about animated elements within the 3d model: say a moving person or anything for which the mesh changes from frame to frame. How will those objects be handled? Or will this method of export be only applicable to static models?
