Hey,
I didn't read the install instructions for Octane, which means that I installed the CUDA driver after I installed Octane. So Octane crashed at start-up.
I uninstalled Octane with AppCleaner. But that did not help, I still can't run Octane.
Is there any way to solve this? Will be grateful for any advice, thanks!

Wow, instant reply, thanks!
On my Hackintosh with 10.6.2, 8800GT:
"OctaneRender 1.021 beta2.1 Demo quit unexpectedly"
On my Macbook Pro 2.53GHz with 10.6.3, 9400M:
"OctaneRender 1.021 beta2.1 cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure OctaneRender 1.021 beta2.1 Demo works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to installa any available updates for Mac OS X."

Ok, I reinstalled everything including Xcode on the 10.6.2 system (with 8800GT) now Octane starts, however it says "No Cuda Capable Devices Found, Exiting..." Could it be the 8800GT driver that is the issue? Anyway, I won't bother you any more with this, since it's a Hackintosh. Looks like I will end up buying an Octane license for Windows
Will do the same reinstall on my MacBook tomorrow and see how that goes.
Thanks for now, cheers!

Hi!
I think I'm the "other user"...
the problem I was talking about only happens when you have 2 nVidia cards (i.e. MBP with 9400m AND 9600GT). from the specs he posted his MBP has a 9400m only... if so Octane should work just fine
