Hi

I'm working with 3dsmax Octane and would like to render in Octane Standalone.
I used Max2Octane script to export and render inside Octane.

I have a problem with octane materials that are not exported.
In octane I import a file with wirecolor material !!??

Is ther anyway to export Octane materials from 3dsmax to Octane ?

Thanks in advance

The obj exporter will identify Standard materials only (Multi/Sub-object material the only exception afaik, if its slots are populated with standard materials); if your using Vray, mental ray etc, they will be exported as a single, generic "wire" material. I don't recommend exporting objects without materials assigned.

Problems with materials etc have to do with the exporter and obj format limitations, you could import back to 3dsmax your object and realize all materials have dissappeared, even in 3dsmax. The same goes with "will this object import into Octane?", just import it back to 3dsmax, if it successfully imports then Octane will behave the same.
