hello guys,

i'm using octane for about a week. realy awesome renderer! with my gtx 570 its really a finecost!
but i have also some suggestions mostly about the workflow:

1) there is no undo. and sometimes it's realy helpful :)
2) delete and save node are to close together (with no undo function, again would be helpful)
3) multiple import export material nodes
4) linked materials. so it can update in all sessions you've linked the specific node.
5) direct material import from other sessions
6) selecting multiple nodes and converting them to a macro material
7) remember last file location is not always working.

i think some of this would increase the workflow and make it a more flexible rendering system.

again, great renderer!

cheers!

yeah. these are some common requests (and some useful new ones, like 6.) - nice summing up.
so a + to all of them ;)
(except 7 - always works for me)

plus more keyboard shortcuts please...
The obvious is that which is never seen until someone expresses it simply

3) Yep. Shift-select & Ctrl-select in filebrowser
4) Yep. I've asked for this a long time ago...
5.) Also useful.
6.) Quite useful, though I always start building my materials within a macro. We should be also able to transfer nodes out of macro containers.

Also, now that border select is done, Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V shouldn't (oughtn't, mustn't, can't...) be far away :D

These little things everyone discovers while using Octane for a while, I wish Refractive would take the time to do.
While I appreciate they are busy doing the main features usability is important too.
It makes for happy users who also are enthused when their small requests are actioned.
If suggestions just go on the list in the drawer people turn off participating a little.
Octane has been out now for 2 years.
I think it is time to do some of these handy tweaks.
Perhaps after 2.6 they can have a point release just concentrating on these. 8-)
Progress on the v1 list has been steady. I don't think people would mind.
