self inflicted niggle

Hi,
Just a small UI issue - I have a quadro FX570 using 184.26 cert for Solidworks use. I dont like to change drivers away from application cert driver if possible so I tried to launch Octane.exe...

I know now this is not a cuda enabled driver (some belated research tells me cuda support actually started in 186.18) and so I'm going to have to find a later cert driver if there is one..

but,... if you launch Octane you get a message to say 'No cuda capable device found exiting' and this is not strictly true.
The card is cuda capable but the driver is not.

maybe change the wording for idiots.. like me..

can't you just upgrade to the latest quadro drivers ?

Well then just change the wording: 'No cuda driver found exiting'.

CAD applications like cert drivers best..there are enough bugs in the program without having a dodgy driver f***ing up the display as well.
Once you have a functional set up you are reluctant to change it.
Unfortunately 182.46 is the latest one for my card...they are somewhat slow about certifcation...

I might abandon checking out the demo on my workstn for the meantime.
Its a pretty slow card for cuda purposes anyway

no but its ok I'll watch the forum for others feedback on the demo and upgrade another pc with a GTX with 1792mb in a while for the pay for version.
