Hi, sorry if this has been addressed already...I searched around a bit, but searing "display" or "card" obviously brought up a lot more than simply what I was looking for! ;)

I have a 560ti 448 (1gb) and an older gt240 in my system right now. I had intended on using the 240 as a display-only card, so I could go about doing other activities while the 560 rendered away (and be more interactive).
In the newer version of octane (that I purchased), I don't seem to see that option anymore under preferences. Has this been removed, or is there a better way of going about this?

Thanks so much! I am considering buying another 560ti 448 card before they disappear, but want to figure out the whole "display card" issue first. Sadly, the heatsink is too big on the 240 (silent card; no fan, so large heatsink) to have it sit in the 3rd pci-e slot...but maybe I can round up a 'display' card somewhere otherwise...if the 'display' option is still there, that is! ;)

Thank you!

Hi,

What do you mean by a "display card" option? You can still enable and disable GPU's in our latest version, we haven't changed that.

Ah, I apologize...maybe I am just thrown off by the different looking (unified) window layout, as opposed to what I had seen in some older tutorial vidos. I now take it that if it's unchecked, whatever card it is will just be used for 'display' then?
Sorry if that was a dumb question...one of my friends had the same one, however.
(which maybe means that dumb people just stick together!) ;)

Thank you!

Yes the interface has been changed a bit. You can enable and disable cards with the checkboxes.

After that make sure you plug your monitor cable into the video card you are not using for rendering.
